While sensitizing people to pay their contribution for their Mutuelle de santé for the 2012/2013 economic year, the Muhanga district administrative council argued local leaders to help people pay their part of the contribution by joining associations which are easier.
The mayor of Muhanga district told the village chairpersons and health advisors from Muhanga sector to put much effort in sensitizing people about contributing for Mutuelle de santé medical insurance because they are always near them.
Muhanga sector is one of the sectors that has less people participating in Mutuelle de santé as only 1/10 0f the 26.000 residents contributed for this medical insurance which is 13.5person and this is a limitation to the whole district as it is counted on 86.99percent for participation in medical insurance as Anastasie Urusaro the director of Mutuelle de santé in Muhanga district explained.
Vedaste Habinshuti the executive secretary of Muhanga sector said that the problem of lack of participation is caused by low understanding about the advantages of Mutuelle de santé among the residents but they have made resolutions where the sectors and cells' workers will be visiting each and every home on Thursdays and Fridays of every week to sensitize them about Mutuelle de santé as a medical insurance.
Eric Habimana the executive secretary of Murama sector said that they usually meet a problem of people who do not even want to listen to the explanations that are given to them by their leaders and there are also residents who go to Cyeza sector to join its associations
Mutakwasuku said that it is necessary for the leaders to support their residents to join different associations depending on their capabilities and to encourage them to pay their contributions when it is still early so as to get their cards and for their families when it is still early and to avoid last time inconveniences.
