Rwanda : First aid for nose bleeding introduced, Red Cross puts it clear Jul 23rd 2012, 09:25 Tweet Making a person who is nose bleeding lie face upwards is very dangerous and it can even be fatal as the blood that was coming through the nose can pass a long way and go into the brain which can lead to a person's death. Ally Siyaleo Youssuf a worker in Red Cross in Kayonza district said during the training about first aid to miners Wolfram Mining Processing Ltd on the 17th.July.2012 in Kayonza district. He went on to explain many other ways to help a person experiencing nose bleeding without affecting him/her like putting a damp cloth on the forehead of the person bleeding in the nose and it is very helpful and effective. Another way of helping a person nose bleeding is making him/her sit back straight and putting one hand on the bleeding nose and raising the other arm. This makes the heart try to send blood to the raised arm and forget about sending the blood to the head which resulted into nose bleeding. These two methods are easy to do and are not harmful in any way and it is effective quicker in very few minutes the bleeding stops, he furthers
