The advisors representing local people in the advisory council of Rwamagana district have been given responsibility to warn people about AIDS scourge help them fight and prevent it in all sectors making the District.
In the one day meeting that brought together Rwamagana district advisory council members and RBC representatives on the 19th.July.2012 in Rwamagana town, they were shown the level of AIDS scourge and discussed the behaviours of people who no longer care about AIDS infection yet it affects many.
In these discussions, the representatives of RBC (Rwanda Biomedical Centre) presented to the district advisory council about the new statistics of HIV/AIDS in Rwanda and for the Rwamagana district in particular.
What is most worrying in this report is the fact that about 11980 people get infected with HIV/AIDS every year that is to say that 32 people get infected daily.
This is worrying as the infected people become burdens to their families and even to the country as when most people get infected and stop working to develop their countries instead they spend whatever they had earned through medical services they need.
This problem affects everyone and advisory council made resolutions to go and warn those they represent to protect themselves strongly and develop their families instead of being affected and becoming burdens to their families.
In Rwanda, there are about 339.000 people who get ARVs and this number is for those who tested for HIV/AIDS and this means that there are those who are infected but have never tested and all Rwandans are warned to be careful about tempting situations and protect themselves from HIV/AIDS scourge.
