Leaders responsible for medical insurances in Rusizi District and the Accountants of all medical insurances met on the 11th.July.2012 in Kamembe sector in Rusizi district so as to plan forward for these medical insurances in the economic year 2012-2013.
The attendance of medical insurance in this year were found to be at 7.3percent and accountants of medical insurances were asked to work hard with the help of health workers and sensitize people to pay their part and get their insurances and they were reminded that the beginning of the economic year is the best to acquire their medical insurances.
They also discussed about the issue of paying health centers that gave services to people in 2011/2012 as in this district no single health center was paid fully all the money they owe it and it resolutions were made to quicken the payments.
On the problem that people have not yet started using the new card in Mutuelle de santé, Mr. Athanase who is in charge of medical insurance in Rusizi district said that these new cards will be used soon and the value of this new card will be applied by 1st.July.2012.
