According to the research conducted by Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) in 2011, at least a half of sex workers are infected with HIV/AIDS; Jacques Gakungu a worker in RBC revealed.
51% of people who do prostitution are HIV/AIDS carriers, 66% of their men clients are married, 21% of these sex workers are widows and 13% are unmarried.
Some of these prostitutes say that most of their clients don't like using condoms and some don't mind using it. Prostitutes who are not yet infected with HIV/AIDS have though decided not to have unprotected sex because they know the dangers of unprotected sex.
Some of the infected prostitutes do the courtesy of informing their clients who want to have unprotected sex that they are infected and some chose to use condoms, others don't.
In Rwanda the number of AIDS victims is alarming as 339.000 of the population among those who tested are infected without saying those who don't go for AIDS test who might be many.
In the whole world, about 6800 people get infected with HIV/AIDS daily and 5700 die of it daily and African under the Sahara desert get infected very much because of their culture and illiteracy.
