Unexpected fire broke out and consumed four hectares of land in Gatsibo district, a calamity claimed to have been started by some children making fire in the forest; according to the Police on 14th July2012
On the same day fire burnt down two houses in Mugari cell, Shingiro sector in Musanze district started by the houses owner who was burning grass nearby before he lost control of the fire.
Basing on the fire out breaks, Rwanda national police asks residents to be careful about the fire because fire accidents become common in summer.
The police spokesperson Superintendant Theos Badege remarks: "Fire destroys property and the environment. Everybody's participation is necessary to prevent fire out breaks."
Police asks residents to prevent fire at all costs especially during summer. He asked parents to stay close to their children and protect them from fire.
Make sure there are no left over cigarettes in the grass and to immediately inform the police in case of the fire outbreak.
