In the celebration of international population day that was celebrated on the 12th.July.2012, people in attendance were asked to play a role for Rwanda to continue delivering good services about reproductive health to people by Jovith Habyarimana.
Dr Alphonse Munyakazi who represented the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in these celebrations said that reproductive health is the basis of permanent development. He said that though Rwanda is doing well concerning reproductive health, health of mothers and children, there are limitations like the delivery of such services, low understanding of people, rumours about family planning program and lack of knowledge on reproduction system.
Dr Munyakazi asked people to always look for understanding about what they don't know and for religious leaders and culturists to change their understanding about things like family planning and know that youth need to be educated about reproductive health.
He said that UNFPA, the government and their partners will keep on promoting reproductive health of every Rwanda.
