With Rwanda developing so fast in technology, computer use has become more necessary that the government is working hard to make hand written reports history especially for local leaders.

Cell leaders receive laptops with a smile
Handing laptops to the cell leaders on July 20th 2012, Abdallah Murenzi mayor of Nyanza district asserted that hand written reports are going to become history in this area.

Murenzi expressed: "No report from the cell leadership to the sector authorities should be hand written from today since you have all got laptops."
Executive secretaries were asked to take good care of the laptops like they do to other government property they use, says Murenzi.
Explaining on how laptops should be maintained, Mayor remarked: "whoever does not know how to use a computer should come to the district offices and learn computer skills and for good yields in your work."
Andrew Mugabo, an executive secretary of Rwesero cell in Busasamana sector, with much joy acknowledged: "I am happy to have got the laptop. It will help me to write my reports on what is happening and deliver them on time using internet."
All laptops given to executive secretaries in Nyanza district are type HP and came with their accessories.
The district mayor reveals that 31 cells out of 51 cells in Nyanza district have been submitting hand written reports since towards the end of 2011.
